"Owl & Tern" | mixed media
"As they drifted through the night, she observed him: his delicate head tucked carefully under his fine wings. His rapid and shallow small-animal breathing a counterpoint to the slow rumbling of the bear's breath. She loved his keen vision and acrobatic flying. He was a creature of the sunlight. Perhaps he was sunlight in bird form. Her heavy lidded owl eyes, long acquainted with the moon, traveled the nighttime hours and gradually approved of the fruits of her contemplation."
